Question of the day: What is the Blend to you?
Your host: Sir Mo Tonka Ho, a.k.a. T-bone.
[No real reason for posting the pic; I just came across it again last night.]
In the thread on the land mine set off over at AB the other day (now 80 comments long), there are tons of great exchanges and thoughts about that particular situation, the effect of group dynamics and how a blog is defined (or not) by both its author and its readers.
It made me think about this quite a bit (I put some musings in the thread), so here’s a very open QofTD for you Sunday surfers out there…
The primary question: what do you come to the Blend for and why?
To answer, consider some of the subjects that came up in the other thread, which I’ll frame here:
— What do you see as the purpose of this blog? What do you get out of it?
— How often do you stop by for some fresh Blend (you’re new here, vs. daily, several times a day, a few times a week, etc.)?
— What is missing or desired at PHB that you go to other blogs for?
— What is missing or desired at other blogs that you come here for?
— If you comment, why do you do so? What is different about commenting here vs. elsewhere?
— Do the writers (Pam, Russ as contributor) have any particular responsibilities toward PHB’s audience — and what do you think they are from your perspective?
Ramble on in the comments…
