The sanctity of marriage and parenting
As the homos have been told over and over by the Christofacists, marriage cannot and should not be available for gay folks to destroy it, and certainly parenting/adopting will lead to cultural destruction.
Bloggrrl Ms. Julien passed on a few news items that highlight some straight folks who have these exclusive matters down pat, setting a great example for us all.
* 8 Sailors Charged in Marriage Scheme. My god, you mean there are straight folks out there who do this to the institution of marriage? Get Don Wildmon on the bat phone?
Eight sailors were charged Tuesday with arranging sham marriages to Polish and Romanian women to help the women obtain U.S. citizenship and to collect bigger military housing allowances for themselves.
An investigation by Naval Criminal Investigative Service and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement found that none of the women lived with the sailors they married. In all, the eight sailors received $35,000 in fraudulent basic housing allowance payments, investigators said. One sailor was allegedly getting $1,836 per month.
The Navy terminated the allowances in November. If convicted, the seven current and one former sailor from the USS Kennedy and USS Simpson could face up to five years in prison per count.
* Department of Children and Family Services looking into Brit and K-Fed’s parenting skills. This is following the pop-tart’s (and shoe-free gas station washroom patron) multiple instances of driving with the Federline spawn out of the car seat and in her lap. Nice.
On April 7, when Britney Spears and Kevin Federline realized that their baby, Sean Preston, had been sleeping more than usual, panic bells went off. Just six days earlier, the 7-month-old had taken a major fall from his high chair, a tumble that had his parents worried that he might have been critically injured.
They had every right to fret. After rushing Sean to a nearby hospital, they discovered he had a minor skull fracture (sometimes called a “scalp fracture” in babies), and a blood clot. And the doctors weren’t the only ones to take notice! The next day, the Department of Children and Family Services began looking into the incident.
* Moving on to winger billionaire Richard Mellon Scaife and the state of holy matrimony under his roof. Toss in a little animal abuse to boot — should gays not be able to adopt pets? Inquiring minds want to know. (NYDN):
Police responded to a call last week when Scaife’s estranged and apparently enraged second wife, Margaret (Ritchie) Scaife, arrived at his estate in Pittsburgh. She allegedly assaulted his housekeeper, his security chief and his cancer-ridden secretary while a cook fended off her violent attempt to take the family dog.
“He’s in a trauma. He was almost choked to death when she was grasping the leash,” the 73-year-old Scaife, who almost never gives interviews, complained to Lowdown’s Nicole Pesce yesterday. “She claims that the dog belonged to her because the dog is in her name on the registration papers. But she gave the dog to me nine years ago. So he’s my dog.”
… At stake in what is shaping up as one of the nastiest divorces in American history is a fortune estimated at $1.2 billion. “There’s no prenup — so wish me luck!” said Scaife, who was married to the 58-year-old Mrs. Scaife for 14 years before they separated in December.
