Death comes to all
But great achievements raise a monument
Which shall endure until the sun grows old. – George Fabricius

As some who have been reading this blog for some time might remember, I wrote a post the day that my father passed away called Exit Interview. Going back and looking at it afterwards I was embarassed at what I considered its awkwardness, and I have always wanted to go back and rewrite it, maybe fine tune it a bit. Make it a bit more fitting for the kind of man my dad was. Oh well. That’s not the way this game is played.

Having said all of that, Roy at alicublog just lost his mother and he writes about it with an eloquence that I wish that I’d had when it was my turn.
