The three students that went to New Orleans were on CNN

Duke Sophomores Hans Buder, Sonny Byrd and David Hankla appeared on CNN today to talk about their experience in NOLA last week. They took video of the trip, including footage of still-unexplained countless empty school buses being driven OUT of the city. Once they got into the city on their forged AP passes, they were able to get down to the convention center in 20 minutes (having never been to the city), on passable roads (they were in a Hyundai).

Miles O’Brien remarked that “maybe you all should head up FEMA.”

The CNN transcript isn’t up yet, but here’s the article on their trip from the Duke Chronicle.

My original post from Monday AM on these heroes, is here.
