Christian Coalition knob-ends in Montgomery, AL scared of Pride

I received an email from House Blender Kathy that has some incredible wingnuttery from the Christian Coalition of Alabama . Remember that I mentioned earlier in the week that Equality Alabama’s 4th annual Day of Equality will be on September 10 in Birmingham. Well, they are having a Pride celebration in Montgomery on Saturday (or as they would term it, an invasion), and boy the AmTaliban is ready with a smear campaign, a particularly low-rent and ignorant one at that (they have to explain what “drag” is — hilarious. The scary part is that they publish a photo of the location of Equality Alabama. Given the state’s history, it’s not out of the realm of possibility that they could be threatened with violence and/or vandalism. From Kathy’s letter…

Here is a picture of the new Equality Alabama office, which is right next door to the family planning clinic and just down the street from the Governor’s mansion and the home of John Giles, head of the AL Christian Coalition. My brother has spearheaded the office renovations, and he sent this to me. Thought you might get a kick out of it. I’m sure you’ll note that the inflammatory pictures of gays in makeup and drag didn’t come from Montgomery. I didn’t bother to correct the CC’s spelling.
