N.C. man charged with mobile meth lab
One pancake short of a stack, few cards short of a deck, a light is on and no one is home, etc…this is your guy. (News 14):
A North Carolina man is charged with manufacturing methamphetamine after he got out of his car holding a can of beer and told authorities he had a mobile drug lab in his car.
Joe Banner, 36, of Asheville, N.C., was arrested and charged Monday with manufacture of schedule II narcotics, driving on a revoked license and violation of the open container law.
Unicoi County Sheriff Kent Harris said Banner was pulled over in Fishery Park on suspicion of driving on a revoked license, and he got out of his vehicle carrying an open beer. When Banner was asked if he had anything else in his car, he didn’t hold back, the sheriff said.
“He came right out and said, ‘I’ve got a meth lab in the car,'” Harris said.
