Failing upward

The Next Left points out that nothing succeds quite like failure in the Bush administration:

Michael Griffin, a former chief engineer at NASA who has also worked on missile defense systems, was named on Friday as President Bush’s choice to head the U.S. space agency.

I guess the thinking is that you’ll kill fewer astronauts when ‘failure to launch’ becomes the status quo.
