How the news in the rest of the world sees the U.S.

Another recommendation. Check out, a portal for links to news about the U.S. written outside the U.S. The site is the brainchild a former editor of the International Herald Tribune, Robin Koerner.

The nice thing about this site is that it presents English translations of foreign-language news sources that are not available elsewhere. As we have all found out, our media is slack-ass when it comes to covering foreign or domestic news these days — it’s all about ratings/advertisers and access to power with the consolidation of MSM. Example: Iran Wants to Keep U.S. Out of Nuclear Talks With Europe (Iranian Republic News Agency).

Editorial decisions are being made that are not in Americans’ best interest if we are to be part of a world community. Sources like are promising alternatives.
