Mass Gov. Romney stance wavers on gay marriage. Gov. Mitt Romney is trying to portray himself as a moderate on gay marriage in Massachusetts, while at the same time appearing more conservative to Republicans outside the state, critics say.

Same-sex marriage ban clears hurdle in Senate. The Senate advanced a resolution Monday to amend Indiana’s constitution to ban gay marriage. The Senate voted 42-8 to advance the resolution – one that advocates say is crucial for protecting traditional marriage and that critics denounce as unnecessary and discriminatory.
