The cure is the cancer
The radio industry plans to promote itself in coming weeks via a string of high-profile print and on-air ads featuring testimonials from music stars such as Nelly, Alicia Keys and Ludacris, as the medium finds itself the latest of a number of aging industries fighting back against new-tech rivals.
Odd. Nelly, Alicia Keys and Ludacris are three of the reasons why I don’t listen to radio. Throw in Hoobastank, Destiny’s Child, John Mayer, Los Lonely Boys, Kelly Clarkson, and whatever old school classics Rod Stewart or Michael McDonald are butchering these days, and I can’t think of too many good reasons to ever listen to radio again.
