Powell says he’s leaving politics
As he prepares to end his tenure as secretary of state, Colin Powell is ruling out a run for political office.
Asked on the Sunday talk shows if he had any plans to seek elective office, Powell responded with a firm and quick, “No.”
Yeah. Once you’ve taken a lifetime of goodwill and respect and flushed it away like a floater in a public bathroom, I guess the idea of reliving the whole wretched four years in a run for public office would leave a bad taste in your mouth.
I don’t suppose there’s any chance he’ll be taking his stupid kid with him….
