The more you learn about NBC's policy rejection of church's tolerance ad, "the more you know" about the network's hypocrisy
AmericaBlog has nailed NBC cold on this one. The television network (as well as its affiliates) refuses to run a 30-second television ad from the United Church of Christ because its all-inclusive welcome has been deemed “too controversial” (see earlier post).
But lo and behold, the networks own The More You Know public service campaign has a specific spot on tolerance that references the role of church in promoting acceptance:
Addressing the roots of prejudice in our communities, workplaces, and houses of worship sets an example of courage and hope for the future of our society, the future that our children will inherit.
