NC: early voting is under way – this AM I cast my vote against Amendment One

This AM Kate and I early voted – North Carolinians can vote from now until May 5, or on primary day May 8. At around 9:30 AM we went to the Durham County Library (South Regional), one of six sites in the city where you can vote early. We have optical scan machines where you fill in the oval by pen and send it into the receiving scanner. It showed that I was voter #447, and there was much more activity and cars in the parking lot than I expected — that’s a good sign, since Durham is one of the cities we need good turnout in to defeat the Amendment.

Learn where you can #voteagainst Amendment One here: http://ncvoterguide.org/ and here: NC One Stop Voting Site List.
