” I am sure that those less fortunate than you believe that YOU can afford to give more, too. So why don’t you? It’s the same logic.” Someone asked me recently
Sorry was my repy I’m not working but I’ve been unemployed over a year I am giving all I can I volunteer at PADS once a week. However how much does Leon Cooperman or Bill Gates for that matter give as a percent to charity?
“when Bill Gates, Warren Buffett and 38 others announced that they formed a pact to give at least half their wealth to charity.”
” A number of other studies have shown that lower-income Americans give proportionally more of their incomes to charity than do upper-income Americans. In 2001, Independent Sector, a nonprofit organization focused on charitable giving, found that households earning less than $25,000 a year gave away an average of 4.2 percent of their incomes; those with earnings of more than $75,000 gave away 2.7 percent.”
“2010: Bill Gates is No.1 with $54 billion, For the 17th year in a row, Bill Gates has been named as the richest person in world. He is having diversify investment in Stocks, Bonds, Investment company etc, Its almost like a
mutual fund. The Microsoft Corp. founder’s wealth was estimated at $54 billion, up from $40 billion in 2009. ”
Fine Bill pledges when he dies lets see if he keeps the pledge but wealth is relative he and his wife plan to give it all their cash away except for.
“• His three children will inherit only “a minuscule portion of my wealth” – said it to be $10m each. ”
10 million is enough cash for most people to imagine a long life of wealth of not working, loose women and booze granted just not on Charlie Sheen’s scale.
45While all the people were listening, Jesus said to his disciples, 46“Beware of the teachers of the law. They like to walk around in flowing robes and love to be greeted in the marketplaces and have the most important seats in the synagogues and the places of honor at banquets. 47They devour widows’ houses and for a show make lengthy prayers. Such men will be punished most severely.”
Beware those who outsource jobs and make their living off of low wage workers and immigrants, beware those who demand more educated immigrant labor Visa’s because they are to cheap to hire American’s unless they have to.
Beware those who make a big show of giving their entire fortunes to charity…after they die. But plan to enjoy their wealth all their lives and leave all their kids more wealth than the average man could earn in a lifetime even if he NEVER gave to charity.
1As he looked up, Jesus saw the rich putting their gifts into the temple treasury. 2He also saw a poor widow put in two very small copper coins.a 3“I tell you the truth,” he said, “this poor widow has put in more than all the others. 4All these people gave their gifts out of their wealth; but she out of her poverty put in all she had to live on.”
Its the amount you give yes if you give all then you are very moral a Saint. But if you give a percent of your income and have barely 6 months of savings or a meager retirement and Social Security you give more than even Bill Gates after all he and his wife will enjoy a life of wealth most of us cannot even dream of.
Bill’s kids will enjoy wealth most of us cannot hope to earn in our lifetimes even if we never give to charity.
Never mind Bill demands more Visas for skilled computer geek immigrant jobs because he is to cheap to hire Americans unless he has too!
Bill may not be Warren Buffet who makes his money off of McDonald’s employee’s who work at below living wage jobs he runs a high end plantation.
Both Bill Warren and Leon Cooperman take great pride in their charity giving and enjoy the honor’s they get for such giving but when the day of judgment comes they will find the door locked before them. And they will ask why and Jesus will reply just as you enjoyed wealth other’s never could imagine all your lives before giving away your fortune’s at death. Even as people die homeless outside your door. Well ok a few miles away the” Jungle ” in Seattle is a good ways from Microsoft head quarters. So can you now imagine Heaven for the rest of eternity.
Who is Leon Cooperman?
