WV Sen: NRSC Brings the Heat with $1 Million Ad Buy Against Manchin

The National Republican Senatorial Committee is launching in $1 million ad buy in the West Virginia Senate race in a serious attempt to expand the Senate playing field.

It was assumed by most political observers that Gov. Joe Manchin was easily going to win the West Virginia Special senate election. Manchin is currently one of the most popular governors in the nation, yet, despite the his own sky high approval numbers, anti-Democratic sentiment is seriously dragging him down. Recent polling from PPP has Machin actually trailing Republican John Raese by three points. Clearly, the NRSC now sees West Virginia as at least possibly winnable.
