AL-02: Cong. Hopeful Wants to Impeach Obama And Americans To “Gather Your Armies”

Alabama Republican Congressional hopeful Rick Barber is running one of the most ridiculous campaign ads this cycle. His message: Impeach President Obama, and strongly hinting at possible armed rebellion:

In the June 1 GOP primary, Barber managed to get 29 percent of the vote in the 2nd District, while establishment-backed Martha Roby took 49 percent. Since Roby did not manage to reach the 50 percent needed to avoid a runoff, she’ll face Barber July 13 in a head-to-head matchup to take on Democratic incumbent Bobby Bright.

The chance that Barber will win the runoff is very remote. We’ll have to wait until next month to find out whether his message of impeachment or something more “if that’s not enough” can lead to a huge upset victory.
