Hilda Solis Approved by HELP Committee — Nomination Goes to Senate Floor

Senator Ted Kennedy’s Health Education Labor & Pension Committee approved the nomination of Congresswoman Hilda Solis to be Barack Obama’s Labor Secretary Wednesday evening.

The selection of Solis, 51, was approved by the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions today. The nomination now goes to the Senate floor for confirmation.

Per Meteor Blades at DailyKos, there were two NO votes in committee today:

Republican Senators Pat Roberts of Kansas and Tom Coburn of Oklahoma voted no.

I can confidently say that anything those two are against, I am adamantly FOR. You?
